Underground truck scales are weighing devices specifically designed for measuring the total weight of vehicles and their loads. Their core feature is that the main body of the scale is embedded below the ground. After installation, the weighing platform is flush with the ground, eliminating the need for additional ramps for vehicles to directly drive on and off for weighing. They are widely used in logistics, warehousing, mining, chemical, port and other scenarios where precise measurement of vehicle loads is required.
Basic structure: Core components for ensuring precise weighing
Its functionality is achieved through the coordinated operation of the following key components, and the structure is more complex than the above-ground type (it needs to be adapted to the environment of the foundation pit):
Load-bearing platform
Mostly designed as a steel structure grid or flat plate, it directly bears the weight of the vehicle and must possess high strength and resistance to deformation (usually made of Q235 or Q345 steel).
Weighing sensor
The core "sensing component", it converts the pressure transmitted from the load-bearing platform into an electrical signal. Usually, it uses a waterproof and lateral force-resistant shear-type sensor to ensure accurate measurement.
Limiting mechanism
It restricts the horizontal displacement of the load-bearing platform (such as the impact force during vehicle braking or turning), preventing the sensor from being damaged and ensuring the stability of weighing.
Terminal box
It aggregates the signals from multiple sensors and calibrates them to ensure consistency of data from each sensor, which is a key auxiliary component for improving measurement accuracy.
